Nice to meet you. I am the Founder and Chief Editor of iDeats Lab. Today, we have officially launched a web magazine dedicated to exploring the absolute finest in Japanese gastronomy and lifestyle.
Why was “iDeats Lab.” founded?
Japan is a country that gathers “sanctuaries of gastronomy” to be proud of on a global scale. The food culture and deep knowledge of spirits that we Japanese enjoy as a matter of course are of an exceptionally high standard from a worldwide perspective, and are filled with an astonishing sense of “Value for money” (an overwhelming value that defies the price).
In recent years, as the number of inbound travelers seeking authentic experiences rapidly increases, the internet has become flooded with superficial information. That is precisely why I want to extract and disseminate the truly valuable, premium local experiences and the essence of food that satisfies the hearts of epicureans as “actionable and validated intelligence.” That passion is the very origin of this Lab (Institute).
The 3 Themes of Exploration Provided by Our Lab
At this site, we deliver uncompromising information across the following three pillars—not merely as gourmet reviews, but as practical “research data” designed to upgrade your lifestyle.

Meats & Gears
From exploring the ultimate heat-control techniques to rigorous reviews of the essential tools (cooking gear) that transform your home dining into a high-end restaurant, we reveal our practical procedures.

Whisky Room
We guide you into the profound world of whisky. We propose the historical background of each brand, precise tasting notes, and supreme pairings with culinary dishes.

Local Guide
We dispatch authentic local gourmet information, strictly selected by visiting in person. This includes hidden areas where the supreme skills of artisans, who have achieved their own unique evolution, will truly amaze you.
About the Founder / Chief Editor
I practice a dual life, seamlessly commuting between two bases: Japan and the Philippines. Through the perspective of “content editing and curation” cultivated over an extensive career at an advertising agency, I will deeply explore and share the information that has profoundly impressed me through my own firsthand experiences.
My greatest mission is not to let these findings end as mere personal records, but to deliver them to more discerning adults and have you all enjoy them.
Please look forward to the future explorations of iDeats Lab.
